Health and Safety

CEDA International Corporation operates under a Corporate Health and Safety Management System for all of its companies. This system is aligned with our highest core value—Safety—“everyone home safe every day.” This system provides the framework and standards for each CEDA International Corporation subsidiary company to develop, implement and maintain their safety programs to the highest industry standards.

Use of this Health and Safety Management System throughout all CEDA subsidiary companies is required and ensures that standards, policies and practices are applied consistently to all aspects of our business. Concurrently, this system allows each CEDA subsidiary company some flexibility to determine how best to meet the expectations and requirements set our corporately. The system consists of 19 elements which contain specific expectations and requirements to communicate what management expects from each subsidiary company. The system provides corporate standards that provide a basis for measurement and evaluation.

CEDA International Corporation is currently re-aligning all of its subsidiary companies to operate under a new Health and Safety Management System (HSMS). The new HSMS system will continue to mitigate the risk of our employees and clients with the objective of becoming 18001 compliant in the near future.

The new HSMS will be comprised of 19 key elements including detailed corporate standards and a comprehensive communication structure. Key components of the HSMS include updated standards, policies, procedures and leadership structure, increased levels of responsibility and accountability, revised health and safety hazard identification and assessment, documented legal requirements, revised site inspection policy and system audits. These processes will continue to aid in the health and safety of our employees and bring an added level of comfort to our clients.

A number of CEDA International companies have received awards for their safety performance including:

  • Catalyst Services – Received Contractor Award for Meritorious Safety Performance from the National Petrochemical & Refiners Association (NPRA) in the United States.
  • CASCA Electric – Received President’s Award for Safety from Syncrude Canada for outstanding safety performance.
